The admission to the Expo is free. Lunch is free to veterans with proof of service. For non-veterans it is $15. Children 12 and under eat for only $5. All proceeds go to veteran programs.\nThis is the second year in our NEW LOCATION! Thanks to the support of the Berwyn Park District since 2018\, we have been able to grow this event to the point where it outgrew Proksa Park in Berwyn!\nOur location is Morton West High School football field. Specifically\, the track surrounding the field. The school is located at 2400 Home Ave in Berwyn\, IL. The entrance to the parking lot is just north of 24th street and Home Ave.\nIn 2022\, we hosted 85 exhibitors\, all bringing some service for either veterans\, the community in general\, or both. DESCRIPTION:Join our veteran community for a sunset cruise along Lake Michigan\n\n\nOur veteran community is coming together to spend an evening touring Lake Michigan on a piece of Chicago History. The Fred A. Busse is a flagship vessel that was an active Fireboat for the Chicago Fire Department from 1937 until 1981.  \nThis event is hosted by Team RWB & Chicago Veterans. We welcome our veteran community\, spouses\, and supporters to join us on a memorable evening watching the sunset along Lake Michigan.  \nChicago Fireboat Tours: The Chicago Fireboat Tours is owned by US Navy Veterans. They conduct historical tours\, sunset cruises\, and private events on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Learn more at: https://www.fireboattours.com \nPlease note: Refunds will not be issued if you do not show up for your scheduled cruise time. The cruise departs at 6:00pm sharp. While men make up 90% of all US Veterans\, 40% of all Chicago Veteran members are women. Hosing women veteran-focused events are incredibly important for the wellbeing and empowerment of women veterans. These events provide a space for women veterans to come together\, share their experiences\, and support each other in a way that is not always possible at co-ed events. While women veterans continue to face unique challenges\, women veteran-focused events are a powerful tool for creating change and building a stronger\, more inclusive veteran community.
