Chicago Veterans Ruck March
Ruck for a Purpose and join our Chicago Veterans Ruck March. Ruck for yourself, a loved one, a friend, or in honor of someone no longer with us.
This is not just a walk; it’s a day of unity, reflection, and action. In this time, we set everything aside to come together, share our stories, laughter, and tears, and stand with a community that understands.
As we Ruck side by side, we become something greater, a movement of hope, remembrance, and change. So, join us on this unforgettable journey to honor, support, and take action. Let’s break the stigma surrounding mental health and suicide—united, together.
Let’s walk for those who can no longer walk beside us.

Event Day Schedule:
The day kicks off with an inspirational Opening Ceremony, where we will gather with thousands of participants, united by a shared purpose. The energy, strength, and camaraderie in that moment is truly unmatched.
As we Ruck together, we will walk 20 miles through Chicago and its suburbs. With each step, you’ll feel an overwhelming sense of pride walking alongside thousands of others.
Excitingly, this year we’re starting and ending at the same location, which means participants can easily return to their cars or other means of transportation. The route takes us from Evanston, winding down the scenic hiking trail along Lake Michigan, and toward Fullerton Avenue Beach. From there, we’ll circle back to Evanston for the Closing Ceremony. All along the way, you’ll be met with encouragement and gratitude from the communities and people we pass, reinforcing why this mission matters.
Finally, at the finish line, we’ll celebrate together with food, resources, and a strong support network, ensuring that the impact of this event extends far beyond just one day.
