Roll Call Chicagoland recently marked its 7th anniversary and celebrated one year as an official program of Chicago Veterans with a special event held at the Molson Coors headquarters in downtown Chicago. Over the past seven years, Roll Call Chicagoland has organized more than 70 events, facilitating connections for thousands of veterans and their spouses with employers, mentors, and fellow job seekers. This month’s event was no exception, drawing nearly 100 attendees who made vital connections while learning about Molson Coors and engaging with their Veteran Employment Resource Group.

Justin Miller, the Organizer of Roll Call Chicagoland, expressed gratitude to PepsiCo and Molson Coors Beverage Company for sponsoring the event and opening their doors to the veteran community. The support from these companies has been instrumental in the success of Roll Call Chicagoland events.

Members of Molson Coors’ Veterans Employment Resource Group (VERG) were also present at the event, connecting directly with job seekers to offer advice and support. Todd Dombroski, representing Molson Coors, emphasized the importance of in-person networking events, “the most effective method for discovering job opportunities is not through the internet or a job board but rather through direct, in-person connections at networking events like Roll Call.”

Chicago Veterans is dedicated to supporting transitioning veterans and their spouses as they navigate the path to civilian employment. Through our Roll Call Chicagoland Program, we connect job seekers directly to employers, corporate employment resource groups, and professionals through our monthly employment networking events.  Our networking events, hosted at company headquarters and corporate environments, serve as vital platforms for attendees to enhance their communication skills, expand their social networks, and gain valuable insights into upcoming employment opportunities and gain professional career advice to enhance their job search.

As Roll Call Chicagoland continues to make a positive impact on the veteran community, Chicago Veterans remains committed to providing essential support and resources to veterans and their families as they navigate the path to civilian employment. Be sure to visit us at our next Roll Call Chicagoland event.
