Chicago Veterans Employment Readiness Program
Chicago Veterans directly connects local employers to Veterans in our community. Our program provides exclusive access both online via our Virtual Employment Board and in person via Employment Fairs and Workshops. We maintain a relationship with every employer prior to accepting their post on our Virtual Employment Board to ensure quality and accurate employment opportunities.
Employment Fairs & Workshops
We host and partner with many organizations to produce successful employment fairs and workshops. Employment fairs and workshops give Veterans an opportunity to practice their interview skills, enhance their resumes and meet local employers. Our employment fairs allow Veterans to get insights into companies they might be unfamiliar with, gain access to employment opportunities and increase their professional networks.
Virtual Employment Board
Our Virtual Employment Board allows Veterans to search and apply for jobs within the Chicagoland area directly through our website. We partner with employers and grant them access to post employment opportunities in real-time on our employment board, allowing veterans to review and apply in minutes.
Veterans and their family members utilize the VetHub (our shared office space) and have access to professional resume paper, folders, binders, WIFI, printers, scanners, and office equipment to better prepare for their upcoming interviews. Veterans leave with a higher level of confidence knowing they have a professional resume, and are better prepared for their upcoming interviews.
